Frequently Asked Questions
Photography
What is a chromogenic print?
A chromogenic print is a photograph on light-sensitive photographic paper. The image is projected onto the paper, which is chemically processed, as opposed to the image being printed directly onto the paper.
Are chromogenic prints better than glicee / inkjet prints?
Not necessarily. Printing technology and quality is very high these days, and archival grade paper and inks exist to ensure prints last a long time. I have a personal preference for chromogenic prints because it’s traditional and I trust it to be consistently high quality.
Do you make your prints yourself?
As much as I would love to do that, I don’t have the time, space, equipment, or money for my own darkroom. I order my photographs through Printique, the printing division of photography giant Adorama. I have been using them for over 15 years and have always been pleased with their professional quality.
Stickers and Decals
What’s the difference between stickers and decals?
Stickers are one adhesive vinyl piece that have designs printed directly on them. Decals are die-cut shapes or letters that are cut from a larger piece of adhesive vinyl like a stencil. Decal designs are essentially a combination of stickers that form to make a design! Decals do not have images printed onto them.
Can I put stickers and decals on my car?
Absolutely! Stickers and decals are made with high quality professional vinyl that are meant to last at least 3-5 years before any signs of wear and fading occur.
What else can I put stickers and decals on?
Popular ways to display stickers and decals include vehicles, computers, phones and other electronics, walls, signs, mirrors, windows, mailboxes, appliances, furniture, doors, light fixtures… really anything you can think of! Please be mindful of where you stick them and don’t put them on things that aren’t yours if you don’t have permission.
Are stickers and decals removable?
Unless they’ve been stuck on something for a long time, you should be able to take them off without much trouble. Keep in mind that they aren’t designed to be reusable. If you’re having difficulty removing stickers or decals, use a heat gun or hairdryer to soften the adhesive bond. This makes it easier to peel off.
Are stickers and decals dishwasher safe?
They are! I recommend washing anything with decals by hand, however, because if one part gets scraped off, it could ruin the design.
Do you make the stickers and decals yourself?
I design everything myself. I make the decals myself at home with my personal vinyl cutter, a US Cutter SC2. I do not have the ability to print on vinyl so I order my stickers from a local Metro Detroit company called Sticker Blitz.
Orders
Will my order have tracking?
Orders that have selected Standard Shipping include free tracking through USPS. The tracking number will automatically be emailed to you when the shipping label is created. Orders sent through First Class Mail do not include tracking. If tracking is important to you, be sure to select Standard Shipping.
Do you ship outside the United States?
Yes! Canadian and Mexican orders can be processed automatically. If you are outside of North America, if you have any questions, or if something isn’t working as it should, please contact me with your address and what you are ordering and I will personally find the best shipping option that meets your needs.
What payment methods do you accept?
Orders can be paid for with debit cards, credit cards, or PayPal. Online checkout is processed through PayPal, but you do not need a PayPal account to pay for an order.
Do I need a PayPal account to make a payment?
No, you do not need a PayPal account. You will be directed to the PayPal payment portal to securely process credit and debit card information, but you do not need a PayPal account to complete your transaction.
How long does it take to receive my order?
All orders are sent out from the United States, which is going through a lot these days. Domestic orders should, fingers crossed, take 3-5 days to get to its destination once they’ve been mailed. I aim for a time period of up to 3 business days to get orders sent out, but delays can happen if I do not have all the materials ready to pack at the time of purchase. If you have any concerns about shipment times or you have a date you need an order by, please contact me so I can do what I can to help you.
